ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30.03 AND CHAPTER 30.15 OF THE HAMBURG CITY
CODE PERTAINING TO MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMPENSATION AND REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE HAMBURG CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HAMBURG , CARVER COUNTY , MINNESOTA ,
ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Chapter 30 of the Hamburg City
Code is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows:
§ 30.03 MAYOR AND
COUNCIL; COMPENSATION.
Pursuant to the authority granted by M.S. § 415.11, as it may
be amended from time to time, salaries of the Mayor and Council members shall
be set by ordinance. No change in salary
shall take effect until after the next succeeding municipal election. The salary of the Mayor shall be $1,200
annually. The salary of each Council
member shall be $720 annually. In
addition, the Mayor and each Council member shall receive $50 for each special
meeting of the City Council attended by the Mayor and any Council member, not
to exceed payment for two special meetings per month.
SECTION 2. Section 15 of Chapter 30 of the Hamburg City Code is hereby amended in
its entirety to read as follows:
§ 30.15 MEETINGS.
Regular meetings of the Council shall be
held on the second Tuesday (and at times the fourth Tuesday, only if a second
monthly meeting is deemed necessary by the City Council) of each calendar month
beginning at 7:00 p.m., commencing in November 2012. Any regular meeting date falling on a holiday
shall be rescheduled and held at the time and place set by the City Council at
a regulary scheduled meeting.
SECTION 3. Effective Date of Ordinance.
This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and
publication according to law.

2012.
