North Korea announced that if the United States continued it's operations in the area they are going to launch nukes on the White House and the Pentagon. President Putin has provided resources to help pro-Russians in their Civil War in Ukraine. The Israeli's and Palestinians escalated their Civil War to ground troops invading the Gaza Strip. And the United States struggles to keep her boarders secure while floating the notion of impeaching the President.
Since World War II the United States has been on the aggressive to contain the expansion of Communism. Trouble the aggression created is developing an entitlement mentality of other world wannabe powers and the loss of diplomacy. Once the Berlin Wall feel and it was clear the United States was the Last Super Power emboldened other wannabe powers to attempt to exert their beliefs. Many were upset when Sen. Obama mentioned that he would sit down with other world dictators - friends and foes - after being elected President.
We now face the Dark Ages of Diplomacy. American society is not interested in electing a President or any Washington D.C official based on their vision of America or the ability to bring diplomacy to the position. Rather American society has allowed the Two-party system to lead us down this road. To help pave the road, the media plays the role of puppet and marionette to the ideological play written by the Two-party puppet masters.
When a one or a group of people attempt to bring enlightenment to the Dark Ages, they are demonized by one side and Co-op by the other. Tea Party for the Right and Occupiers for the Left. To ensure that no new group gains a foothold the media aids in fanning the flames of demonization. Unfortunately, far to many in American society will drink in the kool aid of which ever side they feel connected with as the unabated truth about the other side without actually investigating it themselves.
The United States was founded on the belief that "all men were created equal". Granted not all laws applied equally from the onset but the United States has made great strides in including more people in forming the future of the freest nation in the World. While no government is perfect, nor will one ever be, but American society has the luxury knowing that one holds the keys to their future not afforded the vast majority of the rest of the World.
Evidence of the luxury of American society is the emboldened illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants are here in the United States protesting for "Rights", using taxpayer dollars, obtaining driver licenses, and taking advantage of a liberal welfare system. Now, a rush of children are pounding our Southern border in reaction to an executive order issued by President Obama that gave hope to these illegal immigrants of Amnesty.
While we are a Nation of Immigrants, there becomes a time when a Nations identity shifts to the Nation itself. For decades the United States used quotas to stem the tide of immigrants to the shores. Unfortunately, after the spread of Communism became a real threat following World War II the quota system started to erode and refugee status became the new system. The refugee system is fueling the entitlement mentality of the World.
The United States refugee system has allowed these groups to transplant without laying the expectation beforehand of assimilation. The Germans, Irish, Dutch, Swedes, Fins, etc..all understood the concept of assimilation. The result of not laying out this expectation beforehand will be Anarchy inside of the United States. Once that Anarchy comes to a head, that will be the time American society true enemies will come. When they come, we will be to focused on the infighting created by the Two-party system and promoted by the media.
America society is only a few months away from going back to the polls to vote for mid-term elections. Take time to inventory those candidates on the ballot, take time to inventory your role in allowing the Dark Ages to continue, take time to inventory your responsibility to assimilation. Then make sure you pull the lever for the candidate that will ensure a Nation that continues the luxury.

Accountability?
Recently I engaged into an interesting topic with a close friend of mine. We were discussing various political topics which included the "Buffet Rule", entitlements, health care and other topics. During our conversation we touched on war. The question my friend offered up is, and I paraphrase, why is it that in war today that the country doesn't sacrifice as it was expected when the United States entered in World War II?
It is a great question. So we brainstormed on why there isn't the level of sacrifice displayed now with two wars going on as there was during World War II. The reason for our resurgence into Afghanistan was to get Bin Laden - well we have him yet we have troops still there and in Iraq. While I acknowledge it is not as easy as flipping the light switch to pull out, it should be noted that we still have not. True a time table exists for Iraq. Throughout our conversation my friend pondered if we should feel guilty for not making sacrifices as brave men and women fight in a land with no clear objective. Granted one could argue that the objective is to root out Al Queada.
I offered up a theory as to why American's may not feel guilty or have the sense of sacrifice that has allowed Iraq and Afghanistan to drag on and on and on. That theory is that American's have become so reliant on the Federal Government that if our elected officials say its good to stay then it must be so. When our ancestors lived through their Great Depression they did something about it. They didn't look for the government to provide them a paycheck for 99 months or pay for the health care. We have become so reliant on the Federal Government that we have lost our way as Americans. Freedoms have been slowly eroded away for various reason - National Security, general health and welfare - and instead of America standing up to our elected officials, we cower and wait for our next entitlement.
After Sen. Obama won the Presidency a sector of society started to wake up to the fact that our deficits are too large, our spending is out of control and we have lost a number of person freedoms. Freedoms that our Founding Fathers agreed to, in the end, belonged at the State level. Instead of American's embracing this movement - Tea Party or the Coffee Party - the Right worked hard to CO-OP them while the Left looked to demonize them. The same can be said of the Occupy (fill in the blank) group. The Left is working to back them while the Right is looking to point out their flaws. We have lost the ability to be accountable for ourselves, our town, our community, our county, our state and our Federal Government. While a small part of society gives the ultimate sacrifice in the Middle East, the rest of us go about our lives looking for the next entitlement program. We don't demand that our Commander in Chief go before Congress to engage our country in armed conflict nor do we demand our Congress to hold said Commander in Chief in contempt for doing so. Instead both parties play their political theater and grand stand the soupdujour in an effort to get re-elected.
Damn straight we should feel guilty. Trouble is that we allow this to continue, we allow our elected officials to dictate to us how it is we are to live and which freedoms we get to enjoy. Be accountable, hold others accountable. Call, write, visit your elected officials at every level of government and demand accounability. America is living on borrowed time and money - time has come for all of us to make sacrifice and demand our society to do so as well.

President Obama foreign policy: Hypocrite or Savior
Today the United Nations (UN) is to start a conference on racism around the world in Europe. The goal, according to the BBC, of the UN Racism conference is to review progress “in fighting racism since a 2001 forum.” The trouble is several key players are boycotting the conference; including the United States.
The BBC reports that many “Western countries see this as a curtailment of free speech” as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is expected to speak. For the past month and a half President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have traveled across the globe in a good will tour apologizing for the actions of United States. President Obama has cloaked the apologies as means of “strengthening our hand” by reaching out to our enemies.
To boycott the UN racism conference is a bad move for a country that fought a war over slavery, saw Civil Rights leaders slain (King), and saw a historic election when Sen. Obama became for the first black President. President Obama said, repeatedly, while running for office that he’d sit down with President Ahmadinejad without preconditions. Then why does he not, or at least send a delegation, attend the UN racism conference?
President Obama continues to make mistake after mistake on foreign policy. While meeting with leaders of Americas, many criticized the President for hand shaking with foreign leaders that have spoken out against America, but President Obama missed an opportunity to re-define Democracy and the important role the United States played during the decades that surrounded World War II.
The United States for decades after World War II has been the leader of the free world, granted the past decade our leaders have failed us, and the President Obama apology tour only weakens the position of the United States by giving hope to those that wish the demise of our great country. President Obama’s administration is missing a big opportunity by boycotting the UN Conference on Racism and is a hypocrite for the reason of not attending.
