During the Presidential race some noise was made about the naturalization of both McCain and Obama. While McCain produced the proper paperwork to prove his naturalization, Obama only produced a “certificate of live birth” short form that only one can get; citizen or not. Chelsea Schilling and Joe Kovacs report, Bombshell: Orders revoked for a soldier challenging prez, on the Worldnetdaily website that “A U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida scheduled to report for deployment to Afghanistan within days has had his military orders revoked after arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office.”
In Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution it states, “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.” Prior to the revoking of U.S. Army Reserve Major Frederick Cook’s deployment several attempts have been made and thrown out of court to challenge the validity of the election results on the basis that Obama is not a natural-born citizen. According to the article no explanation or reason was given for the order being revoked.
Major Cook is arguing that “without a legitimate president as commander-in-chief, members of the U.S. military in overseas actions could be determined to be “war criminals and subject to prosecution.” A hearing to discuss the case will take place this Thursday in federal court. Why is this not getting more play in the Obama media?
In the past many of the attempts to obtain Obama’s birth certificate in long form, which is a requirement of those running for office to disclose, have been rebuffed , the fact that the Army revoked the order to send Major Cook to Afghanistan is a small victory while putting an end to the question of Obama’s birth. Many in the mass media have denoted this as a footnote in history and hysteria of the extreme right wing.
If that were the case, why than did the Army revoke the deployment order when challenged on the basis of the legitimacy of Obama to act as commander-in-chief? To put this issue to rest all Obama needs to do is produce the long form of the birth certificate otherwise we could see more servicemen or women requesting their orders revoked on the basis of their legitimacy.

It would be interesting to find out on what date Major Cook received notice that he was no longer being asked to serve in Afghanistan and whether it was by telephone or a letter sent by snail mail, or whatever.
ReplyDeleteThe date of the filing of the suit by Cook was July 9 (I have it at the 9th, though some say the 8th), which was last Thursday (or it could be Wednesday), and the earliest stories saying that he was no longer being asked to go were last night.
That is six days or seven, but two of them were weekend days. It is unlikely that the Army could have decided to make a change from “go to Afghanistan” to “don’t go to Afghanistan” in only four or five days. It just doesn’t work that fast.
And besides, Cook volunteered to go to Afghanistan in the first place. He volunteered for Afghanistan on May 8, meaning that he volunteered to serve in Afghanistan while Obama was president. http://www.newspapersites.net/newspaper/columbus-ledger-enquirer-1.asp
The news article you posted at the end of the post was interesting. The most interesting part was the fact that Major Cook didn’t ask for his deployment to be revoked. Based on the article, it looks like Major Cook was given orders on June 9th to deploy on July 15th. Did you see what Big303 wrote?

Does Big303 not understand that if Obama is not a natural-born citizen and we allow him to remain in office then we have just re-written the Constitution? The kicker is that Maj. Cook didn’t ask, at least according to the article, for revoking of the order even though he is bring suit in court. Once again I ask, what is Obama hiding?

And the facts of the birth certificate have been confirmed by the two officials of Hawaii who looked into the file and said that they found an original birth certificate. That can only have been a Hawaii birth certificate because Hawaii did not register foreign births in 1961. At this point I suspect you will ask: "If there is an original birth certificate, then why doesn't Obama show it?"
Because he cannot. Unless he has kept a copy of the original birth certificate, sent to his parents at the time of birth and not lost (and many of us do lose our birth certificates), then all that he can show is the document that Hawaii sent him. Oh, and there is no evidence whatsoever that he was born in Kenya. (His Kenyan grandmother actually said he was born in Hawaii).
The big question looming is why did the Army revoked deployment of Maj. Cook if there wasn't some concern over the lawsuit being brought over the legitimacy of Obama being a natural-born citizen. Guess we will find out more after the Federal Court hears the case. Thus far none of the previous attempts have seen the light of day in court. What makes this one so special?
